My mission is to provide a nurturing environment so that each student has an opportunity to explore his or her potential using asana (postures) and pranayama (breath). I encourage my students to use a sense of playfulness and curiosity to go deep, to breathe, to open, and to shine. I try to bring a sense of humor and light-heartedness into my classes.
I am blessed to have studied with wonderful teachers from various traditions, and I am thankful to my students for inspiring me to continue to learn about yoga every day. I have been teaching all levels of Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra since 2012.
Certified Yoga Teacher
I believe that every body and every mind can benefit from a regular yoga practice. Yoga increases flexibility, strengthens muscles and regulates breath. It improves athletic performance. It instills a sense of calm. Yoga allows us to step away from our hectic lives and just breathe. It makes us feel good.
I started practicing yoga after someone at the gym told me that yoga led to flat abs, and that it was a good compliment to my running regimen. When I left that first class, I felt balanced and calm, tall and light, limber and strong. Yoga has been my passion ever since.
